Dunwoody to hold Edge City 2.0 Community Pop-up

Perimeter residents are invited to pop in to share their vision for the future of Perimeter Center during the Edge City 2.0 Community Pop-up on April 30.

Dunwoody, GA – April 11, 2022– The City of Dunwoody invites residents in Perimeter Center to share their future vision for the area during the Edge City 2.0 Community Pop-up on Saturday, April 30. This family-friendly community event will run from 10 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of Endeavor Montessori School, which is located at 48 Perimeter Center East.

“We’re looking at Dunwoody today and working to picture what’s best for Dunwoody of tomorrow,” said Dunwoody Economic Development Director Michael Starling. “We want to hear what Perimeter residents think about the future of retail, restaurants, entertainment, trails, parks, office, transportation, hotels and housing.”

Edge City is a joint effort between the City of Dunwoody and the Perimeter Community Improvement District (CID), and it’s being carried out in close coordination with a consultant team led by Pond & Company. You can learn more about the project here: www.dunwoodyedge.com

Residents can pop in and enjoy free treats from King of Pops while they visit with consultants and city staff. For children, a balloon artist will be on hand, and members of the Dunwoody High School Beta Club will encourage creativity with a city-themed coloring station.

This will be the second community engagement meeting for the Edge City 2.0 project, which involves evaluating and understanding Perimeter Center’s current land use, development patterns, transportation network, surrounding cultural and natural resources, demographics, economics, and the needs and wishes of the community. At the end of researching and developing multiple visions for the future of the Perimeter Market, Pond & Company will provide the City and its partners with an implementable roadmap for the next 20 years.
