Following successful seasons for both the Dunwoody Wildcats and the 6-4-3 DP Cougars, senior pitcher Kevin Smith has committed to the University of Georgia. The hard-throwing lefty received county and statewide recognition, being named first team All-County for his high school play and to the state team for travel ball.

Smith played a significant role in the Wildcats’ success last season as a junior, posting a 5-3 record but having an ERA (Earned Run Average) of only 1.67. His strong pitching helped guide the team to their second straight regional title in AAAAA Region-6. With an opponent batting average of only .148, he received both team and county awards for his high school performances, being named Pitcher of the Year for Dunwoody and a DeKalb County All-Star.
