In Light brings works by In Kyoung Chun and Steven L. Anderson to Spruill Gallery. The paintings by Chun and Anderson present the color and beauty of the natural world interpreted by contemporary artists.
The loose watercolors by Chun feature expansive vistas of beautiful seascapes and small studies of floral bouquets surrounded by the ample space of her archetypal acrylic frames. In contrast, paintings from Steven L. Anderson’s ReNaturing series feature a mashup of 19th century engravings represented by Anderson in Morris Louis-inspired washes of colors. Together the works provide beautiful vistas and ample space for meditation and vibrant optimism.
