Fun volunteering event on Saturday 2/16 was a success!

Update:

7,000 Tee shirts were repacked. Some will be used at St. Baldrick’s events here in Atlanta, some are on their way to several Atlanta charities and some to the Missionaries of the poor in Jamaica. The majority will be handed out along the St. Patrick’s parade route on March 16th.

Attached are 2 photos, the one with the banner was taken early, the group photo was taken near the end.

Original Post:

We will be repacking St. Baldrick’s Tee shirts in the All Saints Catholic church gym on Saturday 2/16 and are looking for volunteers to help.
It is light work: folding, rolling and wrapping tee shirts. Volunteers work in teams of 2-4 and chat. This is our 3rd year, our volunteers have enjoyed the work.
Details are at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f044eafaf2daa8-stbaldricks1

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation has funded more than $258 million in childhood cancer research grants, more than any other organization except the U.S. government.
Since 2002, the Atlanta area has embraced St. Baldrick’s head-shaving events as part of their annual St. Patrick’s Day tradition, raising more than $5 million for childhood cancer research! More than 20 Atlanta-area St. Baldrick’s events were held last year in honor of local children with cancer and survivors, as well as those who have passed away.

The Tee shirts are surplus 2018 stock and will be passed out during the St. Patrick’s parade,
We will be happy to sign Service hours forms.
Thank you,
Donal and Karen
