Highly curated Fashion Boutique (Village Threads) to open in Dunwoody Village on May 1st

Village Threads is a One-Stop-Shop for On-Trend, Stylish Clothing, Accessories and Gifts.  Rustic, Laid Back Lounge-Like Space Includes Coffee Bar, Fireplace

Dunwoody, GA (April 20, 2021) – Village Threads, a one-stop-shop offering a mix of great designers, hand-picked outfits, accessories, and fun, unique gifts, opens its doors at 5525 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, in Dunwoody, GA, on Saturday, May 1, 2021.

The multi-brand specialty retailer will carry a wide range of wearable and fashionable designs carefully chosen for their comfortable, unfussy style. Gretchen Scott, AG Jeans, Splendid, Bella Dahl, Vintage Havana, TOMS, Julie Vos and more are among the women’s brands. The shop will also carry clothing and leather goods for men from johnnie-O, Pig & Hen and Criquet Shirts. Clothing prices range from $50-$200; jewelry from $20-$395; and gifts from $10-$150.

“As things start opening up post-pandemic, I’m excited about dressing up and know others are, too,” says Village Threads owner Tracy Stalzer. “Whether you’re going out casually, planning a weekend getaway, or the type to wear something comfy, yet fun to the supermarket, Village Threads brings the seasons looks right to your fingertips.”

Great style doesn’t have to be complicated. From flowing summer dresses and lightweight layers, to cozy sweaters and the just-right-sandal, Village Threads offers something for everyone. “Our goal is not to sell as much product as possible, our goal is to make people feel good,” Stalzer said. “By creating a warm, tranquil, calm vibe when customers walk in the door, we will aim to offer solutions to their lifestyle needs, while at the same time be laser-focused on customer service.”

The 2,000-square-foot shop also includes a lounge-like space with a sitting area that has a fireplace, comfortable leather sofa, and a coffee bar with bar stools and a television. The venue is ideal for Girls Night Out events or charity fundraisers.

Village Threads will also feature local artisans monthly. Kicking off the initiative in May is Emma Clinch, a Dunwoody native who sells embroidered ornaments featuring local high schools and universities – just in time for graduation.

Stalzer, a former 16-year Time Inc. veteran, is no stranger to retail. “Growing up in Madison, NJ, my mother owned a store called, ‘The Village Shop,’ so the name of my boutique is somewhat of an homage to her,” she said. “My boutique, Village Threads, is located in the heart of Dunwoody Village. ‘Threads’ plays off threads on clothes and threading the community together; I want my shop to be the area’s happy place for on-trend and stylish clothing that’s pulled together with effortless ease.”

To ensure the safety of its customers and staff, Village Threads will follow proper Covid-19 protocol: masks must be worn in-store, sanitizers will be on display, and a thorough cleaning of the shop will be done daily. Private shopping appointments and curbside pick-up will also be available.
