The Dunwoody Preservation Trust thanks donors with a one-of-a-kind opportunity

DUNWOODY, GA, August 19, 2020 – In response to canceling Lemonade Days, its major source of funding, because of COVID-19, the Dunwoody Preservation Trust has launched a six-week fundraising campaign to replace the lost funds that will culminate in a drawing for a catered dinner for ten people at its historic 1870s Donaldson-Bannister Farm in the heart of Dunwoody.

“We’re so grateful for the donations we’ve received so far that midway through the campaign, we decided to offer our supporters something unique to DPT to thank them,” said MJ Thomas, president of the board of directors.

The email announcing the drawing goes out today (August 19). For every $100 donated to the campaign, a raffle ticket in the donor’s name will be entered into a drawing that will be live streamed on Facebook at noon on September 18. The deadline for donations is midnight on September 16. In addition to the catered dinner for ten, the winner will have use of the renovated farmhouse and professionally landscaped grounds for three hours on the date of their choosing in 2021. All details of the catered dinner will be provided by the DPT.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer our supporters the chance to enjoy a magical evening at what many people consider to be the premier private event venue in Dunwoody,” said Thomas.

The Donaldson-Bannister Farm is located at 4831 Chamblee Dunwoody Road. For more information, please go to https://dunwoodypreservationtrust.org.
