The RAWR Episode 7 Film Festival Entries

The DHS Film/Mass Comm Academy worked on short films for the DeKalb Film Festival over the past month. The festival is March 21 at 6:00pm at The Plaza Cinema in Virgina Highlands.  Watch here.

Wildcat Theater Presents: Curtains

DUNWOODY HIGH AUDITORIUM

March 10 and 11 at 7pm and March 12 at 2pm

March 17 and 18 at 7pm and March 19 at 2pm

Ticket prices: $15 adults, $10 students & 65+, and $5 faculty. Curtains is a musical mystery comedy about Jessica Cranshaw, the supremely untalented star of Robin Hood of the Old West who is murdered on opening night. It is up to Lt. Frank Cioffi, a police detective who moonlights as a musical theater fan, to save the show, and solve the case. 

Varsity Girls Soccer

Congratulations to the Varsity girls’ soccer team, they beat Collins Hill 4-1. The Wildcats were led by captain Ella Ryan, she had a hat trick (scored 3 goals), and Addisyn Slipsager scored the other goal. Hannah Thompson and Hannah Hazen each had an assist. 

DHS Boys Soccer

Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Soccer as they defeated Marist 2-0 in the 1st Region play. Jared Villanueva opened up the scoring in the second half off a throw-in, assist by Miles Scharf. The goal set the tone for the Wildcats as they would score within the next two minutes as Xavier Krehnbrink scored on a header assisted by Will Lamb. Jared Villanueva was also named player of the match. 

The JV Boys Soccer made it a double as they also defeated Marist 3-2. Jordi Orellana and Elvin Becerril each had a goal and an assist. Taevin Cassidy also scored a goal and Carson Fowler had an assist. The JV Wildcats are now 4-0 on the season. Way to go Wildcats!

The Freshman Wildcats took on Meadowcreek and scored the first goal within five minutes of the game with a header from Lukas Odom. Meadowcreek answered with three consecutive goals, putting the Wildcats in a two-goal deficit. The Freshman Wildcats stormed back in the last ten minutes of the game with goals from Parks Rohletter and Lucas Federico to secure a 3-3 tie to end the game. 

Fencing Team Championship Tournament

Come out to support your Wildcat Fencing Team at their final tournament of the season – the Team Championship Tournament. 

It will be held at Lambert High School this Saturday. Good luck to our top fencers representing DHS: (Men) Reece Gallagher, Jeffrey Berkowitz, Michael Nahmias and Thomas Tran (Women) Sparrow Oki-Pomeroy, Jackie Rosenfeld, Emma Rosenfeld and Taylor Fenmore
