The DeKalb County School System presented its draft proposal for the ten year master facilities plan and the draft projects’ list for the SPLOST IV resolution to the Board of Education during a Committee of the Whole Meeting on May 27, 2011.  The presentation is posted on the DCSS website for public viewing.

After reviewing the presentation, the public is encouraged to provide questions and comments regarding the draft plans via a short survey located on the district’s website at  The survey will open on May 27, 2011 at noon and will be available until June 1, 2011 at midnight.

The DeKalb County School System Board of Education is expected to take a final vote on the SPLOST IV resolution on June 13, 2011. The resolution presented for action will be a joint resolution consisting of projects from DeKalb County Schools, Atlanta Public Schools, and Decatur City Schools that will appear on the November 2011 voting ballot for the SPLOST IV referendum.
