North Springs’ Winter Show Hedda Gabler Opens in the Black Box Theater January 21, 2016 Sandy Springs- January 13, 2016 North Springs Charter High School’s noted Drama Magnet opens its winter show Hedda Gabler in the Black Box Theater on Thursday, January 21 at 7:30pm.
The show is a modern adaptation of Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen’s classic of realism, 19th century theater and world drama. The title character, Hedda, played by North Springs’ junior and Governor’s honors theater semifinalist Carolyn Friedman, is considered one of the great dramatic roles in theater and has been portrayed on stage and in film by many prominent actresses.
Evening performances at 7:30pm on January 21-23 and 28-30; with a matinee performance on January 30, at 3pm. All performances will be in the school’s smaller, more intimate Black Box Theater.
