Oktoberfest In The Park

On Saturday, September 30, 2017, partygoers can break out their dirndls and lederhosen for Park Tavern, A Social Mess and Sierra Nevada’s Oktoberfest at the Legacy Fountain in Piedmont Park. Benefitting the Piedmont Park Conservancy, revelers can take their chances with a game of giant Jenga and enjoy friendly competition during games of corn hole, a beer keg toss, a beer mug stamina contest and a beer pong contest. Brew lovers are also invited to enjoy a range of ice-cold beers courtesy of Sierra Nevada. Not only will there be a costume contest for revelers in attendance, but four-legged friends are also welcome and encouraged to dress up for a chance to win a $300 gift certificate for best dressed dog.

Featuring live music and DJ performances throughout the day, Wasted Potential Brass Brand, known for its New Orleans standards, sarcastic pop, blues, funk and hip hop will get the crowd going before REMakes takes the stage followed by Yacht Rock Schooner performing spot-on renditions of Steely Dan, and Slippery When Wet ending the night with the ultimate Bon Jovi tribute. DJ Nakd will also be spinning top hits in between band performances. General admission tickets are available for $15 and will be $20 at the door. VIP tickets, which guarantee a seat and food, including roasted chicken, German potatoes salad and pumpernickel roll, are available for $35.
