ATLANTA COLTS YOUTH ASSOCIATION: Now that recreational baseball is winding down, it’s time to begin thinking about FOOTBALL! In less than 110 days, the Yellow Jackets and Bulldogs will kickoff their first games of the season. Right down the road at Murphey Candler Park, the Atlanta Colts will do the same. The Atlanta Colts Youth Association offers Cheerleading, Flag and Tackle football for kids ages 5-13. We offer two tackle football programs: 1) Intra-league consists of 4-6 teams of approximately 14 kids per age group. All games are played at MC park, largely on week nights, against one another. 2) Travel offers one team per age group. These games are played on Saturdays, at MC as well as across Metro Atlanta, against other clubs. Our cheer squads support Flag, Intra-league and Tackle programs (kindergarten-thru 8th grade) Football offers so many advantages to our youth – physical fitness, discipline and skills development. At ACYA we stress teaching the joy of the game, sportsmanship and teamwork. Several of our coaches played collegiately at schools like Morehouse, Clemson, Penn and Cornell just to name a few. A former Georgia Tech cheerleader leads cheer along with instructors from top cheerleading associations such as NCA and UCA. We are an accredited USA Football program offering “Heads Up Tackling” endorsed by the NFL and numerous physicians to minimize the possibility of injury. The costs for flag (ages 5-6) is $100, cheerleading (5-13) is $185, plus a uniform fee of $60, and tackle (ages 6-13) is $350 if registered by June 30th.
