SANDY SPRINGS FESTIVAL 2017: Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24

The Sandy Springs Festival, a community tradition for over three decades, returns next weekend on September 23-24 for two exciting days of family-friendly fun. Presented by Heritage Sandy Springs – the nonprofit organization that saved the original “sandy springs” and is dedicated to promoting history, stewarding a community park, and enhancing the cultural identity of Sandy Springs – this celebrated community tradition has something for everyone. And, for the first time EVER, the Festival is being offered FREE of charge!

“We are very excited to be able to present the festival for free, for the first time ever, and we are truly grateful for the support of our very generous sponsors and community partners”, said Sarah Poland, Director of Marketing and Community Events at Heritage Sandy Springs. “Festival-goers can expect many of their favorite traditions, like the 10k/5k race and the Pet Parade, as well as the return of the Car Show. We have made some great changes to the festival footprint which will allow kids to enjoy an extended Children’s Park. We have also expanded the Man Cave which debuted last year. This time, it’ll even include a ‘Man’s Best Friend Cave’. We are especially excited about the Artist Market since we’re working with a new company – Splash Festivals – for the first time. A lot of hard work goes into this community event and can’t wait to see everyone enjoying it!”

Festival dates and hours are Saturday, September 23, 2017, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 24, 2017, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No smoking, outside beverages, soliciting, or personal mobility devices unless required for medical purposes. Leashed pets allowed and encouraged.
