Sunday brunch’ bill passes General Assembly

The measure would extend pouring hours on Sundays from the current 12:30 p.m. to 11 a.m., subject to a local referendum. That additional 90 minutes would generate $100 million in annual economic impact for the affected businesses as well as $11 million in state and local taxes, said Rep. Meagan Hanson, R-Brookhaven, who carried the bill in the House.

The “Sunday brunch” bill passed the state House of Representatives 97-64 and now heads to Gov. Nathan Deal. The Georgia Senate approved it 38-18 last month.  Continue reading at The Atlanta Business Chronicle
