“Discovering Our Talents from the Inside Out”

ATLANTA, January 2015 – The upcoming annual Wesleyan Artist Market will be held on Thursday, April 30 through Saturday, May 2, 2015. This year marks the 17th anniversary of the indoor art show, held in Peachtree Corners, GA. This highly anticipated celebration at Wesleyan School showcases the beautiful works of more than 85 professional artists from all over the southeast. The Artist Market is a treasured, three-day tradition at Wesleyan, and the entire community is invited to join us as we spotlight our honored exhibiting artists.

Visitors can expect to enjoy a broad selection of original artwork in a variety of mediums and price points, including oil paintings, water color, acrylic paintings, jewelry, ceramics, photography, mixed media, pottery, floral arts, textiles and other home décor items.

The Artist Market leadership team is hard at work focused on delivering Wesleyan’s best Market yet. The 2015 expanded theme, “Discovering our Talents from the Inside Out,” captures the spirit of our efforts. The hope is to welcome both Wesleyan and non-Wesleyan visitors to campus and share in a celebration of the performing and visual arts.

New this year, the Artist Market is proud to announce that the application process has moved from paper and pencil to an online process through Zapplication. Applications have been steadily coming in since October, and Wesleyan looks forward to announcing the line-up of very talented, emerging and established artists at the end of this month! Stay tuned for news of a very special “Market Season Kick-Off Event” scheduled for February 9.

The 2015 Market is also excited to announce that coming in April 2015, we will advertise our Market using a digital billboard, located south of Wesleyan School on Peachtree Parkway. This is a great addition to our current Marketing strategy, and it is our hope that we will increase awareness of the Market and bring even more “art-loving” visitors to our annual event.

This year, Wesleyan is pleased to announce some dynamic and exciting changes to the Market. The VIP Sponsor Sneak Preview will be held one hour before the official opening of the Market on April 30th. This first-of-its-kind event will offer our sponsors a unique opportunity to browse and visit with all of the artists prior to the official opening. In addition, not only does the show celebrate our exhibiting professional artists and Wesleyan students and faculty, the Market will showcase outstanding works of art from area schools as well as artwork produced by children met and cared for during the 2015 Wesleyan mission trips.

The school invites you to join in this effort of “bringing neighbors together” on April 30th – May 2nd. We hope that everyone will find an opportunity during the three day run of the Market to stop in, visit and thank all of the exhibiting artists, supporting performers and volunteers as we “Discover Our Talents from the Inside Out”.
