From the Dunwoody Police:
This afternoon just before noon, officers responded to Peachford Hospital in reference to a patient that walked away from the hospital without being properly discharged. The patient was admitted to the hospital several days ago after making threats to “shoot up” schools. Due to the threats, DeKalb County School System has issued a lockdown at nearby schools as a precautionary measure. Officers are currently looking for the patient. It should be noted that the patient was not armed with any weapons when he left the hospital and the lockdown was placed only due to the previous threats made by the suspect.
Patient is described as a 29 y/o white male, 5’11 in height,140 lbs last seen wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and carrying a brown paper bag. If you see anyone matching that description, please call 911.
DeKalb Schools Police reported a level 1 lockdown at Peachtree Charter Middle School, Chestnut Elementary Charter School, Dunwoody Elementary School, Dunwoody High School and Vanderlyn Elementary School.
