Brookhaven announces plans for parks improvement

Brookhaven’s Parks & Recreation Director Brian Borden announced at the March 22 City Council Work Session the first park slated to be completed as part of the park master plans. “We are proud to announce that the first park that we are going to [complete is] Clack’s Corner,” he said. The department has received bids from companies interested in conducting park surveys that will provide information on exact park boundaries and what is underground. Once the survey and bidding process for Clack’s Corner is complete, work is expected to begin this year that will include a natural play area, community seating, a community lawn, brick paving, and a memorial. The Clack’s Corner plan is part of the individual park master plans completed by the firm Greenberg Farrow in February.
