On Sunday, June29, Dunwoody United Methodist Church will kick off the Fourth of July holiday week with our “Celebrate America” concert beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The Dunwoody UMC Chancel Choir and orchestra will perform Howard Hanson’s “Song of Democracy”, based on a poem of Walt Whitman, and such classics as “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “Salute to the Armed Forces.” Recent DUMC Concert Series favorite, pianist Thomas Pandolfi will join with the orchestra in the American classic Rhapsody in Blue and other Patriotic works.
