Children’s Ministry- Formation Associate

Position Overview:
The Children’s Formation Associate is a vital member of our ministry team, responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment where children, ages Pre-K (4s)- 5th grade, can develop a strong foundation and grow in their faith. This role involves planning, organizing, and implementing various educational and recreational activities to foster spiritual growth among the youngest members of our congregation. 

Duties/Responsibilities:
Write and edit weekly lessons from the curriculum package to coincide with appropriate Sunday school/chapel format for the week.

Write the Kids worship lesson each week to follow the “big church” worship message.

Manage the Kids Ministry social media presence, coordinating with the communications team.

Assist with planning and executing all major Faith moments and events, such as VBS/VBX, Third Grade Bible presentation, Graduation.

Serve as a Wednesday morning preschool Chapel leader, Wednesday evening leader, Sunday morning kids worship leader and Sunday school support member.

Develop connections with local schools through community outreach programs.

Foster an atmosphere of love, respect, and spiritual growth among children and staff.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree

Strong Christian faith and alignment with the church’s religious values and mission.

Proficient with technology, including Google Suite (Sheets, Docs and Drive), Microsoft office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint), Meta Business Suite and Canva

Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum design, and early childhood education best practices.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask and manage resources effectively.

Physical Demands:
Be able to lift/carry up to 30 pounds and be able to be at eye level with children.

Hours:
This is a full-time (40 hours) in-office role with most hours being served at the church with limited remote options. Required office days/hours are Wednesday (4:30-7:30pm) and Sunday (8:30am-12:30pm). The remaining office days/hours are flexible during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm) and will be determined upon hiring.
