Note from Audra: I attended today because I LOVE working with Smile Doctors Braces. Dr. Sweeny gave my boys their beautiful smiles. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Dr. Awbry. His love for Dunwoody oozed from his pores. He discussed growing up in Dunwoody and getting his haircut, landing his first teenage job, buying cards, buying his first six pack, getting gas, and going to the cleaners all in Dunwoody Village as a young man. He literally got all choked up saying that he “should have never left Dunwoody”. Our friends at the Chamber said this was the first ribbon cutting where tears were shed. We’re glad you are back Dr. Awbry!
The Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber hosted a ribbon cutting to welcome Smile Doctors Braces by Awbrey Orthodontics to the Dunwoody community at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019. The celebration will be held at their new location at 5501 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd., Dunwoody, GA, 30338.
Smile Doctors Braces by Awbrey Orthodontics is headed by James J. Awbrey, IV, DMD, an Atlanta/Dunwoody native. Joining Awbrey are Dana Fender, DMD, and Sunya Sweeney, DMD. According to his bio, Awbrey “is passionate about creating healthy smiles and being a part of bettering the lives of his patients.”
Smile Doctors Braces by Awbrey Orthodontics joined the Chamber in January 2019, and the Chamber is delighted to have them as a part of the family and Dunwoody community.
“The Chamber is happy to welcome Smile Doctors by Awbrey Orthodontics to the Dunwoody community. Their passion and care for people will prove to be an asset to the Perimeter Market, providing another wonderful dental care option for those who live, work, and play in Dunwoody,” Stephanie Freeman, Chamber President & CEO said.
Following the ribbon cutting, attendees enjoyed a range of hors d’oeurves and refreshments. Smile Doctors Braces also encouraged guests to attend the open house later at 5 p.m.
