Heritage Sandy Springs Community Journal

SANDY SPRINGS, GA (April 13, 2020) – Introducing: Heritage Sandy Springs’ COVID-19 Community Journal Project. In these unprecedented times, it’s important to consider how history will remember the COVID-19 Health Crisis and take steps to recognize and remember the ways in which our community has been affected. Because of this, Heritage Sandy Springs is asking the Sandy Springs community to contribute to our new community journal. There are several ways you can help.

Share Your Story: Please visit our community journal submission form to let us know how you are doing. There are questions to prompt your journal entry, and we invite you to share stories, life updates, or reflect on your emotions during this time. There are no guidelines for submission – anyone from any place or of any age is welcome to share their story. You are invited to submit at any time, and share multiple times as the pandemic progresses. You can find the submission form here: https://forms.gle/tiw7TG2Q6XUWk7GCA

Spread The Word: Share your experience on social media, pass it along to friends, or encourage others in your household to submit. We hope to hear from many of you in the coming weeks, and we will be sharing your submissions on our social media. Follow, direct message or tag us:

Document Your Experience: Photograph your children doing schoolwork at the kitchen table or video your partner playing games with friends online. Use this time to journal, make art, film, and photograph your life. We hope you will consider donating those images or media to our museum’s collection, so we may preserve today’s history for future generations.

If you have any questions, please e-mail Allison Moore at curator@heritagesandysprings.org.
