Lunch with Lauren: Press Blend Squeeze

by Lauren Townsend for The Aha! Connection

Well, Dunwoody, it appears we skipped Spring and fast forwarded to Summer. The warmer weather usually serves as a reminder that I should get moving since I am about as active as a mushroom, but luckily, I have Press, Blend, Squeeze to help get me back on track. Matt and Nicole, owners of Press, Blend, Squeeze “want to make healthy food and beverage choices easily accessible for everyone, while helping to educate consumers on specific ingredient benefits.” They developed the idea after Matt’s father was diagnosed with cancer and was able to add over 5 years to his original 5 month life expectancy by changing his diet.

I did go to PBS for the juice but continue to be pleasantly surprised with each meal I have. The juices are delicious; My two favorites are Mood Lifter and Daily Greens. They are pressed to order and full of fresh fruits and vegetables with no added sugars. All the juices are fresh because they begin to oxidize within 24 hours and that means you lose all the good stuff. The wraps are delicious and the Nutty Wrap (peanut butter, walnuts, honey, fresh banana, cacao chips, whole wheat tortilla) is tasty enough to squash my sweet tooth. Press, Blend, Squeeze is now my favorite place to grab a salad in Dunwoody. First, because it is packed with fresh, whole ingredients and super foods, and second because it keep me full until dinner time. I’m currently working up the courage to try a three or five day cleanse.

In addition to trying to make us all healthier with superfoods, check out Press, Blend, Squeeze’s Facebook page for events like Boot Camp, Run Club or other events to make you (and maybe me) less mushroom like.
