Girls between the ages of 5 and 18 as of December 31st, 2014 are welcome to play. You are the greatest ambassadors for Murphey Candler Fastpitch. We keep getting better!
MCGSA is always striving to make softball at Murphey Candler better. In 2014, MCGSA continued to take steps to invest in the park and the program to enhance the program for you!
We made investments in Park – In addition maintaining keeping the softball fields in great shape year round, 2014 saw MCGSA make almost $50,000 of capital improvements. This includes renovated batting cages that will debut in the spring, a new outfield fence and foul poles for Field 5, fence repairs and improvements, significant irrigation upgrades and investment in the playing surfaces.
We made an investment in people – The last two years have seen MCGSA add significantly to the education of coaches and players. This includes expanded and revamped coaching clinics, pitching, hitting and catching clinics and the more learning opportunities for aspiring pitchers. We also implemented mandatory training for coaches with Positive Coaching Alliance to make sure players have the best experience possible.
