On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend…almost…in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.
On October 17-19 at 7pm and October 20 at 3pm, please join us at Riverwood International Charter School as the Riverwood Players present Almost, Maine by John Cariani in the Riverwood Audiorium. The play is directed by Mary Beth van der Hoek, with set design by Jonathan Griffith and Jake Berne, light design by Nick Coso and Perry Goldstein and Costume design by Isabella Levere. The student designers are earning credit for their IB Theatre Individual Projects.
The amazing ensemble includes: Jake Berne, Mila Freeman, Facundo Figueroa, Ben Halpern, Ben Heller, Maria Jackson, Max Kantor, Ryan Key, Isabella Levere, William Loux, Mac McDonald, Lucy Mulkeen, Clare O’Neill, Jenna Scherz, Tianna Seidel, Alima Sore, Edward Vear, Joey Weiss and Harrison Young.
Additionally, the understudy cast will perform the show on Wednesday October 16 at 7pm. Starring in this ensemble of talented understudies are: Blake Avrett, Sadie Llop, Gina Karseboom, Ida Di Giacomantonio, Carson Beasley, Madison McConell, Stephi Piefke, Sterling Conyers, and Phoebe Jones.
Tickets will be sold during all lunches Oct. 16, 17 and 18. They will also be sold at the door.
Tickets are $8.00 for students and $12.00 for adults.
