A new campaign by the travel industry was launched last week called “Let’s Go There”. You may have seen their commercial during yesterday’s ESPN Monday Night Football. The below commercial will be running on other channels, as well as radio.

A coalition was formed by the US Travel Association and includes the heavy hitters in the travel industry (Delta, American, United, Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, Disney, Expedia…over 75 companies total). It’s a campaign that is about future travel planning, based on recent research regarding the happiness level of Americans. The coalition found that happiness levels in Americans are the lowest in 50 years. The coalition cited a poll that 97% of respondents said having a trip planned makes them happier. Jill Estorino, President of Disney Parks and co-chair of the Let’s Go There campaign, describes the goal of the campaign well: “To inspire Americans and give them permission to start making future plans”. Much of the financial risk of future planning has been removed with the airline’s flexibility and most accommodations have significantly relaxed their cancellation policies.
Last week I highlighted Turks & Caicos, a Caribbean island that is currently open to US visitors and one that you may want to put on your future travel list. This week I’m sticking with the theme of future travel plans. WHITEFISH, MONTANA is one of my favorite places out west! Whitefish offers a ski resort for those interested in hitting the slopes, but also offers incredible outdoor activities year round (fly fishing, lake fishing, whitewater rafting, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, zip lining, water sports, golfing and more)! On top of all that, Glacier National Park is an easy 30 minute drive and downtown Whitefish is an authentic western town surrounded by beautiful scenery!
Please remember to travel responsibly, wear your mask and do not travel unnecessarily if you are elderly or immune-compromised!
