4 Book Giveaway for Book Lovers Day!

Win one of these four books!    We’ll announce four winners on Friday, 8/12.   Each winner will get one of the following books.   All you have to do to win is comment which one you’d like to win…on our website or Facebook page plus include the last book you’ve read that you’d recommend to us!

Peggy and I both have The Last Thing He Told Me on our “to read” list.   She just told me about Wrong Place Wrong Time and it looks so good.   I’ve had Covid for the second time and read three books since my Thursday quarantine started!   Loved all three!  Verity, Project Hail Mary and Firekeeper’s Daughter.   All three so very different but soooo good.   I was afraid Project Hail Mary would be too nerdy for most of y’all so I picked the following four books to give away this week!

  1. The Last Thing He Told Me. Would love to read it!

I just read The Last One Home by Victoria Helen Stone. I really enjoyed it.

  2. Would love to win The Last Thing He Told Me or Firekeeper’s Daughter! Had no idea today was Book Lover’s Day! Ironically I woke up extra early and read two hours before work this morning to finish Where the Crawdads Sing! So good!! Took me back to my love of Pat Conroy and Anne Rivers Siddeon.

  3. I’d love to win Wrong Place, Wrong Time! I recently finished (and loved) The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

  4. I would love to win “Firekeeper’s Daugher.” YA is a genre I love, even though I no longer have teenagers to discuss them with.

  5. I’d love to read Verity as I really enjoyed Reminders of Him by Colleen and would recommend. Thanks Aha Connection for considering me!

  6. Wrong Place Wrong Time looks intriguing—I love a good thriller! Just finished Notes on Your Sudden Disappearance, and really liked it!

  7. Just finished “Woman on Fire” by Lisa Barr- great book! I also just read “The Last Thing He Told Me” and loved it. I would love to read “Wrong Place Wrong Time.”

  8. I would love to read The Last Thing He Told Me. I did not do as much reading this summer as I wanted to (small children!), but I did just finish The Rose Code by Kate Quinn and it was great.

  9. I would like to read Verity! I have seen many reviews of it on Goodreads. p.s., I read “Project Hail Mary” too and loved it — it is kind of nerdy, I guess, but so interesting!

  10. I would love to read The Last Thing He Told Me. I recently read Verity (my daughter recommended it) and it was really good though parts of it were a little disturbing. I have to recommend my all time favorite book, Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.

  16. I love seeing the reminders of books I have finished and getting new ideas for future books! Would love to win one of these!

  17. I am dropping off my youngest at college on Friday and will be coming home to an empty nest. I am an avid reader and would love to have a new book (they all look good to me) waiting for me to help as I enter this new chapter in life. I just finished The Paris Seamstress by Natasha Lester and I enjoyed it very much.

  18. I would love to win Verity……I am ready for a “thriller”! I highly recommend others to read Rose Code by Kate Quinn and What Could Be Saved by Liese Schwartz.

  19. I would love to read any of these books, except The Last Thing He Told Me. Our book club read that and really enjoyed it. Thank you!

  20. Love to read The Last Thing He Told Me. I am currently halfway through Honor by Umrigar…really enjoying it, yet such a sad culture.

  21. Would love to read “Firekeeper’s Daughter!” My sister was a high school librarian, and I miss having her YA recs.
