Foodie Frenzy: Lovie’s BBQ

Burger Boy loves BBQ almost as much as Burgers.  We were shopping at the Buckhead Dick’s Sporting Goods yesterday and I offered to take him to dinner if he could come up with somewhere new and delicious for us to try.   It doesn’t take him long to come up with restaurant ideas.  He immediately asked me “What’s the name of that BBQ place at the T intersection of Piedmont and Lenox?”   I replied, “Loves?”  He grabbed his phone for a quick search and declared:  “Lovie’s BBQ….let’s go!”

We were pleasantly surprised.  His pulled pork was delicious.   My brisket was yummy.  We took food home to the rest of our family so were able to try lots of sides:  potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, brussel sprouts, fried okra, and Brunswick stew.  All good but our faves were the okra and brussel sprouts.

We ran into another Dunwoody family while there.   The dad works near Lovie’s and reports that he eats there twice per week at least.  He raved about the cornbread.

Lovie’s BBQ is less than 10 miles from my house.  We’ll be back!
