Thanksgiving Wine Suggestions

Start Thanksgiving by clinking a flute of bubbles. Zardetto Extra Dry Prosecco Rose 2020 is around $15. It is very well balanced with just enough acidity to make it perfect for appetizers and soft cheeses.

White Wines
Tonnino Mediterraneo is a moderately priced Chenin Blanc from Italy. Chenin Blanc is a popular turkey pairing because of its citrusy notes, but this version adds enough minerality to tie the whole meal together.

Wade Cellars Three By Wade Blanc 2019 is owned by Dwyane Wade and is a favorite of Taste Bottle Shop owner, Hussien. It is medium-bodied and dynamically versatile, making it perfect for the Thanksgiving table.

Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc is considered the quintessential American Sauvignon Blanc. This light wine is complex with a long finish and creamier than most SBs.

Red Wines
Thomas George Pinot Noir Russian River Valley is a beautifully silky California Pinot Noir. This well-balanced wine is forward on the red fruits to pair with Thanksgiving favorites.

Terres Dorées L’Ancien Beaujolais is light and easy. The medium level of tannins and acidity make it a great match for turkey and gravy with its bright fruit notes and nuttiness.

The Filippo Cassano ‘Calx’ Primitivo is a super light primitivo coming from southern Italy, similar to a red zin. This rich wine is super versatile and could be drunk from appetizers to desserts.

Merry Edwards Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is the earthiest of any other wines listed. The tannins reflect black tea or sage but are cut with light acidity with lots of cherry and raspberry notes. This may also be the priciest wine on the list, but its complexity and vibrancy make it totally worth it.

All wines are available at Taste Bottle Shop, 1155 Mount Vernon Hwy NE Suite 430, Atlanta, GA 30338, next to Piece of Cake and Dick’s Sporting Goods. They are open Wednesday until 10pm and on Thanksgiving from 10am – 6pm.
