Troy’s Burger Corner: Marlow’s Tavern

Troy's burger corner

I brought a friend with me to Marlow’s Tavern in Dunwoody earlier this week. This summer they have been featuring a seasonal “burgers and brew” menu, so I thought I would head over and check it out. When looking at their regular menu, I noticed they had added a new burger titled the Marlow’s Melt. Instead of getting something off the seasonal menu, I decided to try the melt.

This burger was topped with American cheese, caramelized onions, and MT special sauce on buttery toasted rye. This burger was solid. The sauce and the cheese went along well with the burger. Although I enjoyed the Marlow’s Melt, I still prefer their regular tavern burger. The actual burger patties at Marlow’s Tavern are what make their burgers good, and you can really taste the meat in the tavern burger. There isn’t any crazy sauce or toppings on the tavern burger to take away from the taste of the patty itself. My friend ordered the “burger of the day”, which featured brie, bacon, and tomato bacon jam. She thought it was decent.

Overall, I would recommend sticking to their regular tavern burger, where the great taste of their patties stands out best.
