My husband, Burger Boy and I were lunching in Peachtree Corners before spring break and happened upon Shakeaway. Ice-cream and shakes are not my weakness but my guys couldn’t wait to get in the door to check it out!
We met Nichole, the franchise owner, and she is delightful. She explained that Shakeaway originated in the UK and is only recently expanding into the USA. They tout themselves as the “world’s largest milkshake bar company”. One look at the menu and the candy fillers along the wall and I’m not surprised that they can claim this title!
My fellows chose to try “Scarlett” and “Alan” and were very pleased with their selections. I love that they have board games sitting around so you can play a game while you enjoy your treat! They also serve yummy hot drinks for your cold weather sweet tooth.
They are located in the same shopping center as Earth Fare and are caddy corner from The Forum. I’ll bet all the Norcross High and Wesleyan students discovered this sweet shop the minute they opened in early 2016!
