We made BRACELETS at Spruill Center for the Arts!

by Audra H. Anders for The Aha! Connection

I’ve known Alan Mothner, the CEO of Spruill Center for the Arts, since our kids played Little League baseball at Murphey Candler park and I’ve lived in Dunwoody since 2002 but I’ve never taken an art class at Spruill!  Well, until last week that is….

Alan invited Peggy, Lauren, their daughters, and me to a jewelry making class taught by Amy Gresens. … Read More »

by Audra H Anders for The Aha! Connection

I can not really pinpoint why, but I haven’t been reading much lately.   However, I think I’m getting a message from above to pick up my Kindle or even a real book.   I’m seeing so many emails, Facebook posts, app alerts and magazine articles about books to read.   … Read More »

Team Building with Taste ~ Such a fun night out making Tapas!

by Audra H. Anders for The Aha! Connection

I have been so very fortunate to have been given several opportunities lately to visit local businesses and participate in fun programs that are still “social-distance friendly”.  Last week was no exception.  This time, Peggy and I decided to take my hubby with us!  We laughed, learned, laughed more, chopped, laughed, sauteed, sneaked bites of Manchego cheese, laughed, cooked, ate and laughed even more!… Read More »

Dunwoody Baptist Church – Construction Update!

Note from Audra:

Dunwoody Baptist Church was purposely built on a busy corner and they have been working hard for over a year to “plant a tree for future generations to sit in the shade”. Many Dunwoodians attend church at DBC but even more play ball there, take music lessons there, attend preschool there etc. But EVEN MORE ride by DBC every day and have probably been wondering what’s going on with the construction!… Read More »

Audra’s YouTube Tour of a Newly Constructed Home in Dunwoody – with Karen and Polly!

By Audra H. Anders for The Aha! Connection

My ties to Karen Cannon Realtors run deep.  Foodie Patty and Karen were Branches neighborhood girlfriends.  I believe I actually first met Karen at Patty’s 40th birthday party.  Patty would have been 54 this year.  Polly Frederick is one of Karen’s top agents and has been one of my best friends since we were pregnant with our now almost twenty-year-olds! … Read More »

Zurn Plumbing – Did you know the owners are DHS grads/siblings?

by Audra H. Anders for The Aha! Connection

Visiting so many businesses lately has reminded me of my days in International Sales for AT&T.  I had forgotten how much I love learning about small businesses and their owners/entrepreneurs.  I will admit though that it is a little more fun knowing I do not have to close a sale to meet my quota at the end of these friendly AHA meetings!… Read More »

I will admit that ice-cream is not one of my weaknesses.   I like it but I can easily do without it.   However, my hubby is ADDICTED to ice-cream.   So my oldest and I were getting ready to leave TGM and he decided to see if he could find a new ice-cream place to grab some ice-cream for Dad.  … Read More »

ROAM – What it is & how you can try it for free for a week!

by Audra H. Anders for The Aha! Connection

I thought about doing a poll to see who has heard of or noticed Roam Dunwoody in the Perimeter Pointe Shopping Center.   When driving around the shopping center parking lot corner past Dick’s Sporting Goods towards Home Goods and located above Office Depot….
